Description
As if it was not enough that my daughter Lena lost her beloved father three weeks ago,she yesterday had to put her darling Cornelia to sleep. She got a kidney failure and was not to save, ninteen years old.. Cornelias daughter Nellie died four years ago in the same disease. Cornelia, or Corny as she called her (she was a little cock-eyed, quite charming) and Lena were so close. Corny was always near Lena, draped around the neck or in her arms. She loved to sit where Lena had her attention (like many cats). On the keyboard or on the crossword puzzles to take a few examples. Talking so much and waking Lena all too early in the morning. She will be so missed, especially since Lena has chosen to live by herself.. A home without a pet feels so lonely. My heart goes out to Lena this hard time for her. I made a digital painting from a photo taken two years ago.

Beautiful portrait and so sorry for your daughter's recent losses! It so hard losing loved ones, people or animals. Animals, enrich our lives so much, bring us such unconditional love and along with that comes the grief when they're no longer with us. V.
