The Town between the Bridges, is the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. Gamla stan in Swedish. The town dates back to the 13th century, and consists of medieval alleyways, cobbled streets, and archaic architecture. North German architecture has had a strong influence in the Old Town's construction.
I live in Sweden in a little village near Gothenburg. When I was 40 I left my job as a child psychologist and teacher, and went to art school where I learned graphic art (etchings and such) for four years. Besides that I have worked much with textile collages and watercolor collages. After buying my first computer more than thirty years ago, I more and more concentrated on digital art. Now the computer takes all my time . I have no education in computer art. I am self-taught. I work in PaintShopPro and sometimes Photoshop. I work mostly from photos, mine and others. Textures are very important to me. I think my love for working with textiles has given birth to that love. With my images I try to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. I...
